Chiropractors offer treatment to persons whom suffer from chronic pain and stiffness of the spine and other joints.

Typically, a chiropractor is required to perform a detailed history and physical evaluation of the patient before embarking upon treatment. In this way the chiropractor is better able to tailor the treatment to the individual patient. Absent a detailed history and physical exam a chiropractor may embark on a treatment that does more harm than good resulting in damage to the patient. This haphazard approach to treatment is negligence.
